Tips for Photo Storytelling

I came across this article today and felt it was worth passing on and talking about.    The writer shares his tips - the key elements that should be in photo journalism.   I felt he was concise but complete and that these are things worth remembering.  First, the cover photo to summarize the whole story.     Then he talks about the "establishing shot" that comes to tell the setting.  I found it interesting that he said these are typically architectural and landscape shots.     The next part would be the "Detail Shots" - very specific.   The next part I think is my favorite, especially since I love to take so many different and varied photos, to capture as many different things as I can...those are the "filler" photos.      Finally comes the "closing" shot - of course this gives the story that sense of closure that we'd all want.
